The Rumours

Hailing from Iowa, The Rumours craft a forward-facing rock played as a trio, at the crossroads of punk rock, hard rock and a deliberately embraced metal energy. The band made a name for themselves on the American live scene with a direct, fast and hook-driven sound, powered by crisp riffs, a taut rhythm section and choruses that remain firmly rooted in rock’n’roll. The Rumours operate in a space that mixes punk heritage, garage grit and a heavy edge without tipping into showmanship, with a compact, stage-minded approach. Over the years they’ve shared bills with artists and bands such as Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Amyl & The Sniffers, Supersuckers, D.O.A., Electric Six and Local H, and have played a number of US festivals, including Rock Fest, Rocklahoma, Muddy Roots and Motoblot. After an initial period building their presence on the American road, The Rumours also toured England in 2023. On the releases side, the band issued the album Suck It in 2020 and Kill or Be Killed in 2024 — two records that extend this abrasive, melodic and no-nonsense rock identity.
