Based in north‑west England, His Name is Dolores took shape in 2024 around vocalist Will Pascoe and bassist Connor Lawler, joined by guitarist Sam Franklin and drummer Andy Craig. As a quartet, His Name is Dolores develops a confrontational metal that crosses the legacy of early‑2000s deathcore and metalcore with elements of contemporary hardcore and street metal. This blend is reflected in direct songwriting focused on tempo breaks, sustained tension and abrasive vocals. Their first EP, Cordycep, was released in 2024 and laid the project’s foundations with tracks addressing both irritation at false appearances and the obsessions or defence mechanisms people use against what wounds. His Name is Dolores’s lyrics rely on an unapologetic inner anger and a very raw expression, in keeping with the band’s on‑stage energy. From the start, His Name is Dolores has been part of the UK live circuit, with dates in their region and announced appearances alongside Hacktivist and at the Dark Reign Festival.
