Junokill

JUNOKILL took shape at the end of summer 2018 as an outgrowth of Maloun, adopting some of that project's impulses and channeling them into a more personal territory. The term astropunk, used by JUNOKILL to describe this aesthetic, points to music fueled by punk energy, sensory contrasts and a deliberately hybrid approach where intimacy intersects with a critical reading of social norms and the times. In this trajectory, the queer and feminist dimension is not a mere rallying cry but a creative framework that runs through the lyrics and the project's identity. JUNOKILL released a first album, ASTROPUNK, in 2021, followed by MIMICRY in 2025. Both records were recorded and mixed by Linda Dağ at Clouds Hill Studio in Hamburg, a collaboration that has accompanied the definition of JUNOKILL's sound. Between transforming Maloun's legacy and constructing its own language, JUNOKILL moves toward a taut, shifting and direct form conceived as a space where chaos, introspection and a refusal of established frameworks meet.
