Lvft

Emerging from the Berlin underground at the end of 2022 under the name Berliner Lvft before adopting the spelling LVFT, the band presents itself as a quartet and develops a sound positioned between noise rock and post‑punk. LVFT combines dissonant guitars, feedback, dry rhythms and a melodic tension that can recall certain approaches by Fugazi, Sonic Youth or U.S. Maple, without being limited to them. The songwriting moves in fits and starts, with a nervous energy and a dark aesthetic, sometimes pierced by black humour. LVFT's lyrics address pain, anxiety, addiction and the search for meaning, while offering a critique of social superficiality, in a register that also echoes Kafka or Sartre. Rooted in Berlin's independent scene, LVFT builds its identity between early releases and local shows, with a direct, tense and unpolished approach.
