Kelly Carpaye
At the crossroads of R&B and an Anglo-Francophone pop shaped by the 1990s and 2000s, Kelly Carpaye builds a world fed by multiple inheritances. Born to a Mauritian mother and a father from Réunion, she grew up with séga and maloya — two traditions that early on shaped her musical ear before blending with the pop and R&B references she discovered as a youngster. A self-taught singer and guitarist since the age of 12, she spent several years in various projects and on stage, developing a songwriting approach focused on melody, rhythm and cultural crossovers. Launched in 2025, Kelly Carpaye’s solo project continues this trajectory with personal compositions where pop hues, R&B vocal lines and echoes of Indian Ocean music meet in a hybrid aesthetic attached to direct, accessible song formats.
