DJ Kash

Born in Brooklyn, DJ Kash began mixing at age 12 and played his first sets as a teenager. He continued his path in Hempstead, in Nassau County on Long Island, where he became part of the local hip‑hop and club scene. His work as a DJ is rooted in an American rap culture shaped by mixing, radio selections and an attention to rhythm as much as to vocals. Among his influences he cites Grandmaster Flash and Kid Capri; producer Todd Terry included him on the album Resolutions in 1999, giving him his first record exposure. Over the years DJ Kash developed a stage and radio presence, eventually working in Atlanta where he appeared on V103 FM and in 2017 joined Hot 107.9 on The Durtty Boyz with J Nicks. He moves between club, radio and major events, with appearances on mainstream hip‑hop stages, notably alongside Rae Sremmurd at the BET Awards.
