Mak 10
Originating from London's grime scene in the UK, Mak 10, also credited as Mac 10, emerged in the early 2000s as a DJ with N.A.S.T.Y Crew, the collective with which he helped propel grime through pirate radio, raves and clubs. The brother of Marcus Nasty, Mak 10 has built a career rooted in British club music, moving from grime to UK funky and house, with sets defined by dry rhythms, pronounced bass and a constant interplay between MC energy and dancefloor logic. His path has taken him to airwaves such as Rinse FM, BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, and to venues and nights including Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Sidewinder and Night Slugs. Alongside his DJ work, Mak 10 also releases his own productions, extending the link between grime, UK funky and house. The name Mak 10 remains associated with the N.A.S.T.Y Crew milieu and a period when artists like Dizzee Rascal, Kano, Ghetts, Skepta and D Double E emerged or crossed paths on the London scene.
