Ritmos Cholulteka

Based in Lisbon under the name Ritmos Cholulteka, Bruno Sin Más, also a photographer, develops DJ work centered on cumbia and the musical circulations of Latin America, with openings toward Balkan and African rhythms and electronic textures designed for the dancefloor. Born in Mexico and linked to Cholula — which he references in his stage name — Ritmos Cholulteka frames his trajectory as a dialogue between popular heritage, indigenous roots and party culture. Present on the Lisbon scene since the 2010s, he initiated Movimiento Cumbiero, launched in 2013 to bring together the city's Latin American communities, and later founded Nahuel Colectivo to promote Latin American cultural projects in Portugal. Ritmos Cholulteka is also a co-founder of the Tropikaoz project and handles the production and programming of the monthly Balkan vs Cumbia night at Titanic Sur Mer in Lisbon. His sets mix cumbia, tropical music, festive selections and pre-Hispanic references in an intercultural approach that links popular traditions with contemporary club formats.
