Ken Presse

Active on the Canadian scene, Ken Presse develops a repertoire at the crossroads of folk, country and americana, with storytelling-focused songwriting, spare arrangements and a direct vocal approach. Before moving forward under his own name, Ken Presse toured for many years as a member of The Franklin Electric—an experience that took him to more than 18 countries and gave him a strong background in live performance. His solo trajectory took shape with the album In My Mind in 2022 and continued with Someday in 2025, in a register where acoustic guitars, measured tempos and a subtle pop sensibility remain foregrounded. On stage, Ken Presse has also shared bills with Men Without Hats, Jon Bryant and Hans Williams, in settings ranging from folk song to a more indie vein. From one song to the next he alternates between stripped-down ballads and broader arrangements, while keeping an aesthetic rooted in the North American songwriting tradition.
