Keith Goodwin
Originating from the Pennsylvania independent scene, Keith Goodwin has been building a career since the early 2000s that moves between indie folk, acoustic rock, melodic pop and an emo inheritance. He first emerged with Days Away, an American band associated with the emo and alternative wave around Philadelphia, before taking part in The Sound of Animals Fighting, a collective project with more experimental leanings. With Good Old War, the trio formed with Dan Schwartz and Tim Arnold, Goodwin assumed a central role in a more stripped-down register based on vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars and straightforward songwriting, between folk-rock and indie pop. At the same time he leads projects such as Found Wild and releases music under his own name in a more intimate vein, where his supple voice and understated melodies remain in the foreground. His work also extends to production, notably for Anthony Green and LULLANAS, as well as to occasional collaborations such as his contribution to Besphrenz's track 'Dreamgurl'. Taken together, this outlines a coherent path linking songwriting, group work and movement across several American scenes.
