Dara

From Saint-Ouen, Dara developed an early independent practice of music and imagery, producing their first tracks and videos as a teenager. Dara first emerged on SoundCloud, where their visual and sonic universe attracted an initial audience within a rap aesthetic linked to the scene’s conventions — short tracks, atmospheric work and careful attention to visuals. A first project appeared in 2020 and a track with J9ueve circulated quickly, followed by a series of releases issued alongside their studies. In 2022, Dara released Facette, a project that extended this trajectory with appearances from 8ruki and Thahomey. This progression was then reflected on stage, with a stop at La Boule Noire in May 2023 and at FGO-Barbara in February 2024. In 2024, Dara opened a new phase by abandoning the balaclava that had until then accompanied their public image and by devoting themselves entirely to music with the team 29 Mile. In 2025, Dara continued this cycle with new tracks, including a collaboration with Ajna and committed work alongside producer Ideenoire.
