Cordia

Formed on the island of Anglesey, in the north of Wales, Cordia brings together Ffion Elin Davies, Ffion Wynn Davies and Manon Fflur Williams in a pop project sung in Welsh, nourished by vocal harmonies and a direct melodic writing. The trio takes shape in 2015 while its members are still at school together, after a shared path in choirs and eisteddfodau, then is noticed by reaching the final of Brwydr y Bandiau before performing on the Maes stage at the Eisteddfod. In 2016, Cordia wins Cân i Gymru with the title "Dim Ond Un", an important milestone in its emergence on the Welsh music scene, before releasing the EP Tu ôl i’r Llun in 2016. The group then puts its activities on hold when the three musicians go to study at university, then reforms in 2024. This revival is accompanied by a new series of singles, with "Sylw", "Ti Bron Yna" and "Chei Di Fyth" in 2024, followed by "Delio Efo’r Diafol" in 2025. Cordia extends this return with ADFYW, released in 2025, the trio's first album. Between contemporary pop, a sense of the chorus and the collective work of voices, Cordia is part of a Welsh scene where language and song occupy a central place.
