Infected Dead

Based in Kent, on the banks of the Medway in England, Infected Dead operates within technical death metal marked by tight structures, driven by fast riffs, highly articulated guitar work and a dense rhythmic foundation. The band took shape in 2016 around Lou Ede, Chris Rahman and guitarist Alexander Brown (formerly of Pupil Slicer), before releasing the EP Archaic Malevolence in 2017 on Hostile Media. Infected Dead then gained attention on the British metal scene with an appearance at Bloodstock Festival the same year and went on to play shows across the UK, notably alongside Bloodshot Dawn and Reprisal, while sharing bills with Virvum, Gruesome, Ingested, Vader and Immolation. After a hiatus, Infected Dead resumed activity with an expanded five-piece lineup, marked by the addition of drummer Scott Lindsay and bassist Luke Fabian. The return to the stage in autumn 2024 renewed Infected Dead’s trajectory, remaining rooted in precise, aggressive and often complex death metal.
