Worst

Formed in São Paulo in 2011 around vocalist Thiago Monstrinho and drummer Fernando Schaefer, Worst belongs to the Brazilian hardcore punk scene with a foundation clearly linked to New York hardcore and metal elements in both sound and rhythmic tension. Worst develops compact music built from heavy riffs, driven tempos and pronounced breakdowns, carried by direct lyrics written in Portuguese. Active in São Paulo’s underground scene and later on the Brazilian hardcore circuit, the band released Te Desejo Todo o Mal do Mundo in 2012, Cada Vez Pior in 2014, Instinto Ruim in 2015 and Deserto in 2018. Their trajectory is also connected to musicians who passed through other Brazilian punk, hardcore and metal bands, which sheds light on the blend of hardcore aggression and metal density present in Worst from the start. After an initial period of activity up to 2019, Worst resumed activities from 2022.
