Fred V
Under the name Fred V, Frédéric Voirin has been building a career as a producer and DJ from France, linked to the electronic scenes of Berlin and Paris—two cities that fueled his return to production after an initial active period. For several years on Citizen Records, Vitalic’s label, Fred V has crafted club music situated between electro, techno and house, featuring taut synth lines, dry rhythms and a nocturnal aesthetic that also borrows from new wave. Frédéric Voirin has circulated his productions through several projects, including Avant Garde, Dream In Nights and Insolent — variations on a shared taste for dark textures and direct formats. Within the networks of DJs and labels close to the French and European electronic scenes, Fred V’s work has notably been supported by artists such as Telepopmusik, Scan X, Citizen Kain and Koudlam. Alongside his releases, Fred V continues to DJ, maintaining the same balance between club energy, melodic tension and cold atmospheres.
