ABS8LUTE

Under the name ABS8LUTE, French DJ Elodie Vitalis develops a hypnotic, percussive techno in which rhythms take center stage, with dense textures, taut loops and a pronounced focus on trance and groove. Her approach also draws on a Caribbean heritage that feeds raw, layered atmospheres without sacrificing the dancefloor’s effectiveness. Over the course of her career, ABS8LUTE has established herself on the French and European electronic scene, with regular appearances at Berghain in Berlin, while performing in club contexts oriented toward physical and immersive sets. Her activity goes beyond mixing: ABS8LUTE founded Vénus Club, a feminist collective aimed at increasing visibility for DJs from gender minorities, and runs DJ workshops for marginalized audiences. She is also part of the artistic direction of Kluster, a Parisian collective committed to open, contemporary electronic proposals. Through these various spaces, ABS8LUTE connects musical work, attention to rhythm and engagement for a more representative scene.
