Miguel Payda

As the founder and head of Métrica, which he created, Miguel Payda has built a career as a DJ and producer rooted in melodic electronic music that moves between techno, progressive house and deep atmospheres. His activity has been established both in the club format—through numerous gigs and tours—and in production, with sets that traverse several registers of house and techno in a fluid, progressive logic. Over the years Miguel Payda has released tracks on various labels while making Métrica a regular outlet for his own releases. Notable points in his discography include “Now Is The Moment,” released on the Berlin label Steyoyoke, and the EP “An Inner Voice” on Métrica, accompanied by a remix from British producer Jobe. Between label work, productions and DJ sets, Miguel Payda cultivates an aesthetic focused on rhythmic tension, the construction of atmospheres and a flexible reading of the codes of electronic music.
