Sonia Michigan

Based in Paris, Sonia Michigan has developed a DJ trajectory across clubs, radio and festivals, with earlier roots in the Lille scene and activity linked to the Tout Feu Tout Femme collective. Her sets move between ambient, breaks, glitch, techno, trance and psytrance, characterized by psychedelic textures, mental atmospheres and Goa references, to which she adds declared Slavic influences in her selection. This hybrid aesthetic leads her to explore sometimes experimental electronic repertoires, blending recent tracks, more confidential catalogues and labels that she highlights in her mixes. Sonia Michigan was also present for two years on Comala Radio before becoming a resident of the Belgian webradio Microwave with Tout Feu Tout Femme. Her path has taken her to several venues in Lille—Gare Saint-Sauveur, La Griffe, La Relève, Slalom and Théâtre du Nord—as well as to Paris at Badaboum, Mazette, Panic Room, Point Éphémère and Pavillon des Canaux. She has also performed in festival settings, with appearances at Jardin Électronique in Lille, Main Square in Arras and Ode Mère Festival in Charente-Maritime.
