No Spill Blood

Formed in Dublin in the early 2010s, No Spill Blood operate as a trio in a space where post-punk, noise rock, synth-punk and dark electronics intersect. Their music is built on massive bass lines, repetitive, driving rhythms, vocals that are often delivered in a chant-like or shouted style, and abrasive keyboard textures, with a concise songwriting approach that owes as much to krautrock as to industrial aesthetics. They emerged on the Irish independent scene with short, tense, highly physical tracks, then broadened their palette on Heavy Electricity (2016). No Spill Blood’s trajectory has developed within the alternative and experimental rock circuit, in contact with noise and post-punk scenes as well as the milieu around the Sargent House label, while maintaining a frontal, direct stage approach. For No Spill Blood, repetition serves less to induce hypnosis than to push the rhythmic momentum, giving the music a dry, dense and unadorned quality.
