Gurvan

From Plouguerneau in Finistère, Gurvan has been developing a style that sits between French chanson and electronic music, with textures borrowed from dub and techno while remaining focused on lyrics and melody. For Gurvan, Brittany is not merely a backdrop: the sea, travel, dreams and everyday life in a coastal village shape songs with a direct tone, often threaded by the idea of leaving and returning. His recording career began with the EP De passage in 2021, followed by a first album, Nord Ouest, released in 2023, which extends this link between landscape, intimacy and an electronic pulse. On stage, Gurvan reworks his pieces into a live format where the digital parts are performed in real time, giving his songs a more mobile and rhythmic dimension than on record. Between a Finistère anchoring and a desire to move, Gurvan thus builds a personal project at the crossroads of singer‑songwriter tradition and a restrained electronic aesthetic.
