Axonberg

Based in Lyon, Axonberg develops a trajectory rooted in the margins of bass music and British club aesthetics. As a DJ and producer, he moves through a wide yet coherent spectrum in his sets — from UK bass, jungle, hard drum and breakbeat to dubstep, UK garage, rap and techno — with a marked preference for dark textures, taut percussion and broken rhythms. His emergence sharpened in 2022 when he won the RIFFX Nuits Sonores competition, and his first production, “Nexus,” was released in January 2022 on the Serbian label Nü Kvlture. A member of the Prisme collective, a resident on Egregore Radio and associated with the POLAAR label, Axonberg sits within a network of scenes and structures attentive to hybrid club forms and alternative bass approaches. His trajectory links DJing, production and collective work, shifting between registers without rupture to build dense, physical selections often shaped by contrasts between rhythmic tension and more charged atmospheres.
