Mathis Poulin
Born in Blois, Mathis Poulin develops a musical world between French chanson and pop, with songwriting focused on everyday emotions—from tenderness to anger, and including impulse and hope. Initially active on the local stages of Loir-et-Cher, he gradually broadened his trajectory by opening for artists such as Clara Luciani, Gauvain Sers, Hoshi and Volo, in a stage approach where the lyrics remain central. Trained at the Conservatoire de Blois (graduating with a DEM, Diplôme d'études musicales, with highest honors—mention très bien—in 2023), he released the album Allons de l’avant in 2022, supporting a tour of the same name that began in 2021 and concluded in 2024. With the 2023 single Tu me manques, Poulin moved toward a more direct pop sound while staying rooted in the chanson base of his beginnings. In 2024 he also joined the creation Odyssée 2024 by the Compagnie du Hasard, composing and performing a significant portion of the music on a tour that reached from his home region to Malawi.
