Arroganz

The project emerged in the early 2010s in Germany and is part of the underground extreme metal scene. Arroganz develops a dense, rough black/death metal, regularly weighed down by doom inflections that reinforce the overall dark dimension. The style rests on compact riffs, shifts in tempo between dry speed and heaviness, and an abrasive vocal delivery, with particular attention paid to atmosphere. Over the course of its discography, Arroganz has evolved this foundation into more developed compositions while retaining a direct and obscure aesthetic. Affiliated with the Hellish Hordes structure, Arroganz moves through the European networks dedicated to black and death metal, on stage as well as on record, in a format that favors continuity of universe rather than rupture. Arroganz thus occupies the intersection of black metal, death metal and doom, adopting a deliberately dark approach without unnecessary ornamentation.
