Trans Cover Express

Created in Limoges in 2025 at the initiative of French composer and guitarist Nicolas Repac, Trans Cover Express brings together musicians from classical, rock, chanson, world and electronic music to reinterpret the repertoire. The project sets composers such as Bach, Mozart and Vivaldi in dialogue with bands like Radiohead, Nirvana and The Doors, in versions that shift themes, rhythms and textures rather than reproducing the pieces identically. At the centre is Nicolas Repac’s guitar—he also collaborates with Arthur H and Mamani Keïta—trading with Mirabelle Gilis’s violin, Olivier Koundouno’s cello, Patrick Goraguer’s drums and the electro-acoustic textures of Ludovic Joyeux. Trans Cover Express thus develops a hybrid aesthetic where chamber writing, rock energy, improvisation, baroque references and more tribal pulses intersect, in an ensemble format that favours transformation of works and fluidity between styles.
