livwutang’s trajectory was first shaped in Seattle within the pirate radio and DIY party scene, before relocating to New York in 2021. As a DJ with an open‑minded approach, livwutang has developed a language that moves between dub, dance music from alternative scenes and more melodic selections, with marked attention to rhythms from Central and West Africa, Afro‑American musical traditions and a lasting appreciation for vocal lines and pop hooks across the past six decades. Their sets favour fluid transitions and contrasting textures over a single genre framework, with a narrative construction geared toward the dancefloor. Over recent years livwutang has performed in a variety of contexts, from festivals such as dweller, Honcho Campout and Sustain‑Release to clubs like Nowadays in New York, Panorama Bar in Berlin, De School in Amsterdam and Ankali in Prague. Alongside club performances, livwutang has also shared their practice through several mixes produced for Truants, Animalia and Dekmantel Festival, contributing to the expansion of their presence on the international electronic scene.
