Sure

Revealed in 2020 with the album Twenty Years on Weyrdson Records, SURE operates within a post-punk and cold wave vein that also intersects with synth-pop lines and a drier industrial tension. The French trio brings together Gregory Hoepffner (also active in Kabbel and Almeeva), Nicolas Di Vincenzo (linked to Pencey Sloe) and bassist Michaël Szpiner. SURE’s tracks move forward on taut dance rhythms, nervy guitars, dark synth layers and a vocal that alternates between melodic clarity and a more detached delivery, in an aesthetic that aims as much for physical impact as for contained unease. This writing developed among cold wave references, contemporary post-punk and industrial textures, without confining itself to a single framework. After Twenty Years, SURE continued that trajectory with Destruction Of Forms in 2025, confirming a denser language still centred on short, direct songs structured by repetition, rhythmic tension and a marked taste for contrasts between darkness and melodic hooks.
