Parlor

Active in Paris since 2016, Parlor brings together Guillaume Quincy on drums, Boris Patchinsky on bass, Yann Desti on guitar and Arthur Leparc on vocals in a four-piece aimed at tense hardcore, threaded with screamo, noise rock and sludge-tinged accents. Parlor emerged with Softly, a debut album released in 2019 on HVIV, recorded at Studio Chaudelande with a direct, rough approach that highlights the density of the group’s collective playing. Two years later Parlor continued this trajectory with the EP Comments, released in 2021 on Source Atone and produced by Francis Caste, where the writing tightened and the band emphasized the weight of noisy textures and broken rhythms. In both its references and its songwriting, Parlor situates itself in a lineage where the nervousness of post-hardcore intersects with a tension close to the noise hardcore of the 1990s and 2000s. On stage Parlor has played regularly in Paris and toured between France and Belgium, notably alongside Dead Kiwis, Maudits and Down To Dust.
