Jialu

Born in Perpignan, Jialu approaches rap through writing, which he discovered in adolescence as an intimate space to channel his emotions. This relationship to text shapes music centered on lived experience, in an introspective rap register where direct expression, inner tension and the search for powerful imagery intersect. Jialu develops his project as a solo artist with an approach that closely links sound and visuals: in 2025 he travels to Iceland to shoot the video for an unreleased track, a step that accompanies a more cinematic and inward turn in his work. The project was later presented almost in full in a theater screening, conceived as an extension of his music. That same year Jialu releases his first EP, Armé de Passion, a raw yet thoughtful project that articulates perseverance, personal memory and the desire to move forward without erasing his origins. Through this initial phase, Jialu outlines an aesthetic of emotional, narrative rap in which writing remains the starting point for every track.
