Charcoal

Formed in 2023 by four musicians who share a taste for classic hard rock, Charcoal has built an original English-language repertoire shaped by references such as Motörhead, Mötley Crüe and Thin Lizzy. The band operates as a quartet, with the bass-vocalist at the forefront, two complementary guitars and upfront, confrontational drumming, in a format focused on riffs, driving tempos and melodies that remain rooted in hard rock and sleaze aesthetics. From the start, Charcoal turned to the stage and appeared on bills with Koritni, Locomuerte, Buckcherry and Grand Slam, quickly placing the project in a guitar-driven rock environment. This first phase continued with the release of a debut EP on 3 May 2024, followed by a first video, marking Charcoal’s transition from a group formed around shared influences to an act active on stage and in the studio. Charcoal thus develops a direct, rough yet melodic sound, supported by songwriting faithful to hard rock’s codes without attempting to modernize them artificially.
