Bluvertigo

Formed in Monza, Lombardy, in 1992, Bluvertigo took shape as a quartet gathered around Morgan, Andy, Livio Magnini and Sergio Carnevale, with a musical language situated between alternative rock, new wave, synthpop and electronic music. On the Italian scene of the 1990s, Bluvertigo gradually established itself with songwriting that blends pop melodies, synthetic textures, angular guitars and an often dark or ironic aesthetic. This identity was built across three studio albums — Acidi e basi (1995), Metallo non metallo (1997) and Zero - ovvero la famosa nevicata dell’85 (1999) — which show the group's evolution toward a more sophisticated form of pop rock, marked by art rock and careful attention to arrangements. Bluvertigo then circulated between clubs, festivals and music television, while several of its members also pursued solo activities within Italian pop. After a hiatus in the early 2000s, Bluvertigo returned to the stage periodically and regained visibility in the mid‑2010s, notably with a comeback at the Sanremo Festival in 2016 with the song Semplicemente.
