Plastikboy

Born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Bruno Emilio Laguna Rodriguez develops Plastikboy as a personal project situated between contemporary R&B, alternative pop and discreet electronic textures. Self-taught in production, Plastikboy builds music centered on hushed melodies, a flexible voice and songs with melancholic moods, where intimate writing plays a central role. The project emerges with a series of Spanish-language tracks circulating on Mexican independent pop scenes, then takes shape with the EP Alfinaldeldia!, before continuing its evolution toward a broader format with the album soñandodedía!, which includes notably «114» and «quiereme un poco». Plastikboy then refines an aesthetic where slow rhythms, soft refrains and airy arrangements mingle with a very direct approach to emotion. Among the releases marking this journey is also «amar t duele», while more recent collaborations, such as «250cc», show openness to other voices and other nuances of Spanish-language pop. Through Plastikboy, Bruno Emilio Laguna Rodriguez evolves a coherent universe, defined by sober production and songs that prioritize proximity.
