Thizzy52

Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and based in Kelmis, Belgium, on the border with Germany, Thizzy52 develops a rap rooted in the German-speaking scene while injecting elements from Congolese ndombolo. Initially attracted to football, which he abandoned after a cruciate ligament injury, Thizzy52 launched his music career under the name ThizzyvomBlock and released his first track, 'Thizzy vom Block', in 2021. His trajectory has since been built around a direct, rhythmic and melodic trap rap, where African influences surface in the cadences and certain vocal textures. Signed to STRM, Thizzy52 released the album Rebell in 2023 and went on to release singles and collaborations within a circuit linking Belgium, Germany and rap festivals, including an appearance at Splash! in 2024. The year 2025 marked an acceleration of his visibility with 'Mayi', followed by tracks such as 'Selfmade/Griezmann', 'Movie' and 'Seleção', while Thizzy52 also appears alongside Luciano on 'Sure Shots'. In 2026, he continued this momentum with 'Bricks', 'Blockkids', 'Mon frère' and 'Balotelli'.
