DJ Millz
Rooted in the British drum and bass and jungle scene, DJ Millz established herself in the early 2020s with sets crafted between jump‑up energy, old‑school references, and London rave culture. Daughter of DJ Nicky Blackmarket, a historic figure in jungle and a former record shop owner at BM Soho, DJ Millz grows up in an environment closely tied to this history and early on develops a practice oriented toward radio and mixing. Her appearances on THC Radio and then on London’s airwaves precede a regular presence on Kool FM, where she holds a monthly residency, as well as guest mixes aired on BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM. DJ Millz gains visibility in summer 2021, in a context of clubs and festivals reopening in the United Kingdom, then goes on to play dates on stages such as Glastonbury, Warehouse Project, NASS, Ministry of Sound, E1, EGG London or Boxpark. Her journey also takes her to international gigs, notably in Canada, Germany, Amsterdam and Kavos. In her selections, DJ Millz articulates the codes of contemporary drum and bass with the rougher textures of jungle, maintaining a direct approach to the dancefloor and a clear link to the heritage of British pirate and underground scenes.
