1VERSE
1Verse presents itself as a five-voice South Korean boy band navigating between K-pop and melodic rap. The group brings together Hyuk and Seok, both originally from North Korea who arrived in South Korea after growing up in very different circumstances, along with Aito, of Japanese–Korean bicultural background, Kenny, who is Chinese-American, and Nathan, an American of Laotian and Thai descent. Hyuk was first noticed by Michelle Cho in 2020 and became the first member of the project in 2021 when it was then called SB Boyz; Seok joined him, and Aito and Kenny became part of 1Verse in early 2024, followed by Nathan at the end of that year. Before 1Verse’s official debut, Hyuk released a solo rap track, Ordinary Person, in 2024, and the group issued the pre-debut single Multiverse on 4 July 2025 accompanied by a music video. 1Verse’s recording career formally opened on 18 July 2025 with the single album The 1st Verse, whose lead track Shattered established an aesthetic centered on sung choruses, rapped sections and an electronic, stage-oriented production. In September 2025, 1Verse announced a temporary pause in Hyuk’s activities for personal and health reasons, while in October the group confirmed its first tour, Shattered, scheduled to begin in January 2026 — marking a new phase in 1Verse’s structuring on international stages. In 2026 the group continued its trajectory with the single WABIF (Wide Awake Before I Fall), released outside of any album.
