The Ransom Brothers

Based in Austin, Texas, The Ransom Brothers sit in a country-rock and Americana vein nourished by southern rock, blues and writing anchored in everyday life. The project is led by Sean McHargue and Daniel Solis, at the helm of a full band whose work on vocal harmonies and arrangements gives the repertoire a color that is both direct and expansive. The Ransom Brothers first circulated on the Texas scene, from honky-tonks to festivals, before sharing the bill with bands and artists such as Whiskey Myers, Drake White, Chase Rice, Band of Heathens or Southall, benchmarks that place their roots in the current American country and roots circuit. Their music blends rock guitars, blues tension, and country storytelling, with a song format that favors catchy choruses while maintaining a sober approach. In their recent evolution, The Ransom Brothers have developed a more assertive sound between red dirt, Americana, and Southern rock. A new long-format album has been announced, produced by Gordy Quist of Band of Heathens and mixed by Steve Christensen, marking a new step in the band's journey while staying faithful to its Texan roots.
