Chantel McGregor
Born in Bradford, England in 1986, Chantel McGregor developed early on as a guitarist and singer rooted in British blues rock, with a pronounced taste for classic rock and compositions that keep the guitar at their core. Trained at the Leeds College of Music, from which she graduated with distinction in 2008, she began to make a name for herself on the UK blues and rock scene in the early 2010s, first as a solo artist and then with her band, while regularly performing on club and festival circuits. Her debut album, Like No Other, was released in 2011, followed by Lose Control in 2015, both produced by Livingstone Brown. In 2019 she issued the live album Bury’d Alive, which reflects extensive stage experience and a repertoire blending songs with instrumental explorations. During the period of remote concerts she recorded Shed Sessions Volume One and Shed Sessions Volume Two in 2021 in more stripped‑down formats, first alone and then with keyboardist Jamie Brooks. She also appears on Dr. John’s 2020 album Gumbo Blues. With The Healing in 2025, Chantel McGregor continues work positioned between blues rock, melodic rock and darker tensions, carried by the guitar‑and‑voice duo.
