Copenhagen Drummers

Based in Copenhagen, the group Copenhagen Drummers brings together several Danish drummers and percussionists around a project focused on rhythmic performance. Active since the early 2010s, Copenhagen Drummers first gained attention on the national scene through televised performances and circulating online videos, before gradually expanding its activity to tours and events across Europe and beyond. The collective’s work blends acoustic percussion, electronic arrangements and staged lighting, with tightly written sequences that combine stick work, choreographed movement and moments of silence. Copenhagen Drummers’ compositions sit between percussive show, instrumental pop and electronic music influences, with an emphasis on collective energy, rhythmic breaks and repetitive motifs. Alongside concerts, the group releases instrumental tracks on streaming platforms and regularly adapts its repertoire to varied contexts — from television studios to festivals and large event stages — while maintaining the visual and sonic identity developed by Copenhagen Drummers.
