Black Spiders

Formed in Sheffield in 2008, Black Spiders play British hard rock infused with stoner rock, classic heavy rock and a direct punk energy. The band first drew attention with the single “St. Peter” in 2008, followed by the EPs Cinco Hombres, Diez Cojones (2009) and No Goats in the Omen (2010), before releasing their debut album Sons of the North in 2011. On stage, Black Spiders moved quickly between rock clubs and major festivals such as Download, Sonisphere, Bloodstock, Rock am Ring, Graspop and Wacken, sharing bills with the likes of Airbourne, The Wildhearts, Monster Magnet, Thin Lizzy and Skindred. Their writing blends massive riffs, fast tempos, gritty choruses and a taste for melodies rooted in 1970s and 1980s hard rock. After This Savage Land (2013) and the Rat Mansion EP (2014), Black Spiders halted live activity in 2017, then reformed in 2020 with a new drummer. They resumed their discography with Black Spiders (2021), the Deaf Proof EP the same year, Can’t Die, Won’t Die (2023) and Cvrses (2025). Today Black Spiders continue to evolve as a quintet committed to heavy, tense and no-nonsense rock.
