The Dualers

Formed in South London around singer Tyber Cranstoun, The Dualers first came to public attention by busking before establishing themselves more permanently on the British live circuit. The band develops a sound that blends ska, reggae and rocksteady, with songwriting shaped by the Jamaican traditions of the 1960s and 1970s, between brass, offbeats, soulful refrains and rhythms from early reggae. The Dualers align themselves with a claimed lineage with Prince Buster, The Skatalites, Toots and the Maytals, Bob Marley, Lord Creator or Stranger Cole, while maintaining a strongly rooted approach in the English indie scene. Over the years, The Dualers have built their trajectory through live performance, from club gigs to festivals and large venues in the UK and Europe. Their discography includes Palm Trees and 80 Degrees (2017), Superstar (2019), Voices from the Sun (2022) and Beach Life (2024). Led by Tyber Cranstoun, The Dualers remain associated with a live-oriented band format, where ska energy, reggae melodies and rhythm and blues heritage meet in a direct and accessible setup.
