Vlad in Tears

Formed in Italy in the mid-2000s, Vlad in Tears initially brought the Vlad brothers together around a project oriented toward dark rock and gothic imagery before relocating to Berlin and establishing themselves in the German alternative scene. The band developed a blend of gothic rock, dark rock and alternative metal, marked by melodic guitars, pronounced bass lines, melancholic-tinged vocals and arrangements in which electronic textures enhance atmosphere rather than virtuosity. Through club tours and festivals devoted to dark aesthetics across Europe, Vlad in Tears refined a songwriting approach centered on direct choruses, often mid-tempo pacing, and recurring themes of relationships, disillusionment and a blackened romanticism.
