Freddy and the Phantoms

Rooted in the Danish rock scene, Freddy and the Phantoms has been developing since the early 2010s a world that blends electric blues rock, classic rock and psychedelic touches. Driven by the songwriting of singer-guitarist Freddy, the band crafts guitar-and-organ songs dominated by heavy riffs, mid-tempo rhythms and atmospheres inspired by the sounds of the 1970s. The compositions alternate between Americana-tinged ballads and darker tracks, drawing on themes of Nordic landscapes, travel narratives and contemporary social concerns. On stage, Freddy and the Phantoms work within a traditional rock format, with a group dynamic centered on the interaction between guitars, keys and the rhythm section, and have found a place on club and festival circuits across Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Through studio recordings and regular touring, Freddy and the Phantoms have asserted a coherent sonic identity, between rough-edged blues, psych-tinged rock and songwriting influenced by the Anglo‑Saxon folk-rock tradition.
