La Valentina

Rooted in the current Latin American urban music scene, La Valentina has been developing from Colombia a project that links rap, dark reggaeton, salsa and experimental electronic textures. The rapper and singer crafts tracks where reggaeton rhythms clash with dark arrangements, hip‑hop influences and nods to Colombian popular music, in an aesthetic that sits as comfortably in the club as it does in performance. La Valentina asserts an identity strongly marked by her origins and by a carefully developed visual imagination, which she extends through music videos and a highly narrative stage universe. On stage, she conceives her shows as immersive formats combining singing, dance and performative elements, designed to heighten the sensory dimension of her music. This approach has allowed her to move quickly beyond her country, with appearances at events such as BIME in Colombia, Monkey Week in Spain and the MIL festival in Portugal, and to anchor La Valentina within a network of independent scenes in Europe and Latin America.
