Charleeps

Having moved from Toulouse to the Paris scene, Charleeps is developing a project that sits between acid house, breakbeat and house with psychedelic overtones, showing a marked taste for oblique rhythms and dreamlike atmospheres. A DJ and producer, Charleeps co-founded the Paris-based collective Diskonected, within which she extends club influences oriented toward acidic forms and broken, breakbeat-inflected structures. Her trajectory began to take shape around the turn of the 2020s with a release on the Australian label clipp.art, followed by an appearance on the French House 2020 vinyl compilation published by Trax Magazine. She went on to release on Bardouin Music and Chineurs de House, continuing a practice that combines track selection and production. In both her sets and her productions, Charleeps shapes a tense, colourful house sound threaded with retro touches and a more cerebral approach to the dancefloor, while keeping a clear and direct format.
