Shaped by a journey infused with African, urban and soul influences, Joe Kenga is crafting a project where Afro rhythms meet songwriting aligned with contemporary R&B and pop. Coming from a multicultural background, he builds his tracks around the voice and a melody-driven, emotion-centered approach, alternating between intimate moods and more danceable cuts. The project first took shape through several singles showcased on stage, paving the way for an initial tour before he took an artistic hiatus of about four years. That period of retreat allowed him to redefine his musical direction and sharpen Joe Kenga’s sonic identity, still at the intersection of modern Afro music, urban influences and a soul sensibility. Back on stage, Joe Kenga opens a new chapter with a concert announced at L’Olympia in Montreal on April 25, 2026—a milestone that further anchors his work in the contemporary music landscape blending African legacies and urban cultures.
