Lowpkin

Lowpkin is part of an independent scene in which the intersection of rock heritage and electronic music occupies a central role. The project develops a sound that blends the abrasiveness of shoegaze and noise, dub accents, post‑rock tension, repetitions reminiscent of krautrock and a techno‑inspired pulse, with constant attention to the physical, danceable quality of the tracks. Lowpkin constructs its pieces around stubborn rhythmic motifs, prominent bass lines and saturated washes, while the vocals often employ enunciations close to incantation. This aesthetic places the group in a hybrid register, between a dark club and a rock concert hall, with a marked interest in shadowy atmospheres, gradual buildups and almost cinematic ambiences. Alongside its own compositions, Lowpkin collaborated with Buchlanov on the track 'So Lovely', extending this dialogue between electronic culture, post‑punk tension and trance‑oriented instrumental writing.
