EXTC

Led by British drummer Terry Chambers, a former member of XTC, EXTC brings XTC's new wave and post‑punk legacy to the stage. Formed after the TC&I project with Colin Moulding, EXTC grew out of Terry Chambers's desire to perform XTC's material live again after several decades in which those songs were absent from the stage. Based in the UK, EXTC gathers musicians from the British rock scene around Terry Chambers, including singer‑guitarist Steve Tilling, for a set focused on songs originally written by XTC, reworked into a straightforward rock format. The name EXTC, approved by Andy Partridge, acknowledges the close link to XTC while leaving room for new songs to be gradually added to the live repertoire. On stage, EXTC emphasizes a mix of taut guitars, strong melodic lines and structures drawn from power pop, in a spirit faithful to the late 1970s and early 1980s recordings. Touring from the UK to international venues, EXTC presents itself as a concert‑focused project centered on Terry Chambers rather than a studio band, dedicated to the ongoing reinterpretation of XTC's historical catalogue.
