Tratenwald

Led by French artist Léonie Floret, Tratenwald is situated within an electronic scene where ambient, dark wave and cinematic textures intersect. Before releasing her music, she developed a body of compositions for runway shows, videos and photographic projects tied to the fashion world, creating a sonic universe marked by urban melancholy, misty atmospheres and a deep, inhabited voice often foregrounded as an instrument in its own right. In 2023 this approach was realized on the InFiné label with her first EP, Lost Noise — five tracks that explore nocturnal landscapes, slow rhythms and synthetic pads that alternate between airy and darker hues, threaded with industrial reminiscences. For the record, Tratenwald worked with contemporary composer Samir Amarouch, experimental producer VAMPI, electro‑acoustician Lorenzo Targhetta and photographer Boris Camaca — a collaboration that extends the close link between her sound work and a visual approach informed by fashion and moving image.
