Überyou

Active on Zurich’s punk rock scene since the late 2000s, Überyou fits within a DIY tradition where touring, small venues and independent scenes structure the band’s everyday life. Formed in Switzerland around a core of friends from the local scene, Überyou plays melodic punk rock sung in English, marked by fast guitars, often brisk tempos and collective choruses that recall both 1990s Californian punk and some more recent European acts. Across the 2010s and into the 2020s the band released several albums and EPs documenting songwriting focused on travel, friendship and the contradictions of everyday life, with particular attention to singalong choruses. On stage Überyou favors club circuits, squats and small festivals, stacking dates in Switzerland, across Europe and beyond in a spirit of exchange with local scenes. Their discography has gradually grown with vinyl and digital releases on various independent labels, reflecting a steady commitment to DIY practices and the international networks of contemporary punk.
