Peach Luffe
Born in Seoul, Jong Lee develops Peach Luffe after a classical violin training and a stint in Buffalo, New York, where he continued his studies. This solo project sits within a dream pop and indie pop register with lo-fi undertones, with tracks built around soft melodies, hazy textures and a writing that hints at both his initial musical path and a sensitivity close to certain Asian and North American indie scenes. Peach Luffe circulates intimate music, often slow and woolly, where the arrangements retain a significant place without becoming demonstrative. In developing the project, Jong Lee regularly collaborates with Michael Friedman, who helps shape this sonic universe. Peach Luffe emerged at the end of the 2010s and gradually establishes its online presence through a series of singles and releases that sketch a cohesive aesthetic, between dreamy pop, wispy guitars and hushed production. Behind Peach Luffe, Jong Lee evolves a personal project focused on atmosphere, the proximity of the voice and a marked taste for slow, enveloping compositions.
