Velvet Rush
Formed in Hamburg, Germany, Velvet Rush brings together singer Sandra Lian, guitarist Dennis Henning, bassist Tim Black and drummer Tom Zeschke in a rock quartet drawing on seventies hard rock, blues rock, classic rock and touches of psychedelia and soul. The band crafts a rough yet melodic sound, with thick guitars, a solid rhythm section and a frontal vocal that gives the whole a vintage and contemporary color. Velvet Rush emerged in 2024 with the single “Euphonia”, recorded at Chameleon Studios in Hamburg with producer Eike Freese. In 2025 Velvet Rush strengthened its live presence, notably opening for Jerry Cantrell and playing the Rockharz Festival — two milestones that place the band on the European rock circuit. The track “Trail of Gold” was released in August 2025. Between the legacy of 1970s rock and more contemporary songwriting, Velvet Rush favors direct, bluesy and urgent songs, conceived both for the stage and for the efficiency of the song format.
